There is a
little bit of Harry in all of us, he is a goodhearted bloke with an easygoing demeanor and a burning desire to play better
golf. He loves the smell of freshly cut fairways and the sound of the ball dropping into the cup. He knows the joy of watching
an effortless drive shoot like a laser down the center of the fairway. He simply wishes that ball were his.
One day I found
Harry in despair. He had just experienced a particularly frustrating round and was asking for help. After years of denial,
he was ready to listen to some principles of better golf. “I should have
established sound basics when I first started playing the game”, mumbled Harry.
A tear welled in his eye, as he cupped his chin with his blistered hands.
Before I
met Harry, he had planned to bypass the basics. Until now, Harry had searched for a truly ground breaking tip, an epiphany
that would instantly transform his whole game to match his lofty golfing goals. Every now and then, he did fall upon a fault fix that would band-aid his customized game temporarily. This gave him the belief that he could become a better golfer alone.
Now it seemed that Harry had reached the crossroads on his quest
to emulate the “perfect” swing, whatever the perfect swing was? He
was ready to take the guesswork out of his game.
Join Harry as he learns about the fundamentals of golf including grip, posture, ball position, swing plane, chipping,
pitching, stretching, how to practice and understanding the mental game.
