The following systems will support all of the P3ProSwing™ swing analysis functions and game functions:

Windows 98 or higher
64 Mb RAM with at least 128 Mb virtual RAM available
9-pin serial port or USB port with 9-pin serial-to-USB converter.

This is all the system you need to support the P3ProSwing™, its game functions and swing analysis.

For full motion graphics (or the ability to fly with the ball in the air or fly over the golf course) and audio you will also need

a 3-D Graphics Accelerator Card (i.e. NVidia GeForce3, GeForce4, ATI Radeon, etc¡)

Hitting Mats (Upgrade)

P3Pro mats provide a stable surface so you can golf anywhere, even in your living room. They have a special cutout to hold the P3Pro steady and a special hole on the side for connecting wires. It ensures the correct height and alignment for a proper golf stance and for using your P3ProSwing, and then it folds away for easy storage. Made for both right- and left-handed golfers and constructed of an extremely durable grass-like surface (5 feet by 4 feet).

Also available are a dual mat to extend your mat to allow right- and left-handed golfers to share the P3ProSwing at the same time, and a putting strip to give your ball more room to roll on your putts.

LCD PROJECTOR SELECTION (Optional Upgrade)

We don't sell LCD projectors, but we're pleased to provide you with some information to help you make an informed decision - and set up a virtual golf course right in your own home!

You can project the great graphics of the P3ProSwing™ onto our Projector Impact Screen. As an added bonus, you can also project your TV image onto the screen and have your very own large screen TV system!

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors were once extremely expensive. But prices have come down dramatically. It's now possible to create an in-home, fully-featured golf simulator at home for less than 1/10th the cost of other simulators!

Size of projector
Projector sizes vary, but there are generally just two sizes from which you should choose:

Compact

Subcompact (subcompact units are generally the product available for consumer purchase).

Type of Projector
There are two types of projectors, based on the number of Pixels. The greater the number of Pixels, the better the resolution of the projected image on the screen. XGA projectors give you significantly better resolution and cost a little more.

SVGA: 800 x 600 Pixels

XGA: 1024 x 768 Pixels

Brightness
Brightness is measured in Lumens. Generally, consumer model LCD projectors range between 1000 and 2000 Lumens.

The brightness required for a particular installation depends largely on the amount of ambient light in the area of use, and whether that light can be controlled. The darker the room, the less Lumens are required. Low-Lumen projectors are cheaper, but there's a tradeoff in the crispness and brightness of the projected image.

Throw Distance
Throw Distance is the distance between screen and projector needed to create an image of a given size. Throw Distance varies greatly by manufacturer and projector model. You should check the specification sheet of the projectors you're considering to determine exact distances. Generally, the distance from the projector to the screen to create an 8' tall image is between 16 and 20 feet. Please bear that in mind when planning your installation.

Connecting to your Computer or TV
To connect your computer to an LCD projector you will need to purchase a VGA 15 pin male-to-male (sometimes also called a HD 15 pin male to male) cable of sufficient length.

To also connect to your TV so you can have a large screen TV system, you will need a video cable that will connect the projector to either to your cable box or VCR.

Both of these cables can be installed at the same time to any projector. You can select the one you want to use through the on screen menu.

Note: Purchase cables that are long enough to allow for future movement of equipment.

Installation of a Projector
Depending on requirements, LCD projectors can be either mounted to the ceiling or placed on a low table. We recommend a ceiling mount with the P3Pro, to help avoid potential damage to the projector and to make sure there is nothing in front of the projected image. Special mounts are required for ceiling installation, and must be purchased separately from the projector. Most LCD projectors have available ceiling mounts; these can typically be purchased from the same store at which you purchased the projector.

Recommendations
For the best picture and most dramatic experience with your P3pro, we recommend a Subcompact, XGA 1024 x 768 resolution with 1600 to 1800 Lumens of brightness and a Throw Distance of between 16 and 20'.

If you are purchasing a New Computer (Optional)
If you are purchasing a new computer to run P3ProSwing™ you will find some very good deals out there. The key in purchasing a computer is getting one that will run the full motion graphics. The key is the Graphics Accelerator Card. Tell your computer consultant or salesman you want a high-end graphics card for gaming. The following is a suggested requirements list when purchasing a new computer.

Windows XP (Home or Pro)

High end Graphics Accelerator Card i.e. ATI Radeon(we suggest 64 Mb), a NVidia GeForce 4, or an equivalent high end graphics card

At least 128 Mb of virtual RAM)

A 9 pin serial port ¨C If it doesnt come with one you will need a USB to serial port converter from our website.
